Philadelphia Flyers (0-3-2) at Boston Bruins (3-2-0) Preview
The Bruins host the Flyers in a Saturday matinee at the Garden, Philadelphia is limping into this game on the heels of tough start. They are looking to pick up their first win of the season.
After blowing out Utah, 6-1 on Thursday night, the Bruins are looking to make it two in a row before embarking on a three game California swing.
3 Keys for the Bruins
Keep lines the same: The line up worked on Thursday night. If you are Marco Sturm, you don’t change a thing until the line combinations aren’t working anymore.
Penalty kill excel: The penalty kill was good against the Mammoth and the Bruins need to continue to play disciplined and stay out of the box. When they do end up in the box, they need to continue to play within their PK structure and not chase the puck.
Forwards need to stay aggressive: The Bruins forwards were aggressive on the forecheck on Thursday night and they need to keep it that way. Put pressure on their D core coming into it if their own end and force the issue at center ice.
Final Thoughts: The Bruins should take care of business in this game but it will be important for them to once again get off to a good start, play disciplined and stay within their structure. If they do those things, they should be fine.
